NBC, CBS and ABC are all set to cover the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial dedication and its accompanying concert, set to take place on the Washington DC mall on August 28 according to ShowBiz411.

Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Jennifer Hudson are set for the show, with BrIan Williams and Tom Brokaw said to be involved. George Lucas and Jamie Foxx are also part of the event. The show will begin at 11am and end around 3pm.

The August 28th concert is the finale of several days of events in Washington. This will be the first time that a memorial in Washington is dedicated to anyone other than a president.

Word is that there will be another concert taking place on Thursday, August 25th, with names like Patti LaBelle and the Isley Brothers being talked about.

According to the article, organizers are also contecting Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Bono and U2, Sam Moore, Gladys Knight, and possibly Tony Bennett. There is no word as of now as to whether Oprah Winfrey will be involved.
