World Premiere of "COSMIC REFLECTION"

Classical Archives is presenting the world premiere of Nolan

Gasser's narrated symphony, "Cosmic Reflection." The musical composition portrays the complete history of the Universe, from the Big Bang to the present day. The performance by the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro David Hoose, and featuring narration by Carey Harrison, son of Rex Harrison, along with a video presentation by the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center; the concert will also feature the acclaimed American Brass Quintet.

Tickets: Only available in the 1st Tier and 2nd Tier at $20 each.

Russian composers have made extraordinary contributions to the musical lexicon. Join National Symphony Orchestra cellist Yvonne Caruthers for the first of two Explore the Arts sessions exploring four influential Russian composers. Part of Focus on Russia. Note: The NSO does not perform in this event. Addl. date: Dec. 12, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev.

Washington National Opera

In this epic conclusion of Wagner's Ring cycle, Brünnhilde and Siegfried embark on a quest to restore Alberich's ring to the Rhine, bringing about the devastation of Valhalla and the gods. This special concert presentation features original cast members from WNO's Ring, including Ian Storey, Iréne Theorin, Gordon Hawkins, and Alan Held. Philippe Auguin conducts. Sung in German with English supertitles.

Schedule: 11/7 at 5 p.m.; 11/15 at 2 p.m.

Note: Supertitles may not be visible from the rear of the orchestra.
