Kennedy Center Opera House Opens WHITE CHRISTMAS, 12/11

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents a stage adaptation of the beloved classic film, Irving Berlin's White Christmas in the Kennedy Center Opera House. Bring your loved ones for a heart-warming celebration of Americana from December 11, 2012 to January 6, 2013. The press opening is Thursday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Irving Berlin's White Christmas tells the story of two showbiz buddies putting on a show in a picturesque Vermont inn, and finding their perfect mates in the bargain. Full of dancing, romance, laughter and some of the greatest songs ever written, including "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep," "Happy Holiday," "Sisters," "Blue Skies," and the title song, Irving Berlin's White Christmas is a merry and bright experience for the entire family.

Irving Berlin's White Christmas features James Clow as "Bob Wallace," David Elder as "Phil Davis," Stefanie Morse as "Betty Haynes," and Mara Davi as "Judy Haynes" in the principal roles. Also appearing are Ruth Williamson as "Martha Watson," Tony Lawson as "Ralph Sheldrake," Kilty Reidy as "Mike Nulty," Joe Costa as "General Waverly," Cliff Bemis as "Ezekial Foster," and Shannon Harrington and Andie Mechanic as "Susan Waverly." Rounding out the cast are Darien Crago, Abby Church, Brandon Davidson, Lucas Fedele, Alexa Glover, Andrew Hodge, Drew Humphrey, Bryan Hunt, Megan Kelley, Kathryn Kendall, Kristyn Pope, Christopher Rice, Natasha Scearse, Krista Severeid, Kelly Sheehan, Kristen J. Smith, Andrew Black and Lea Kohl.

Irving Berlin's White Christmas features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin with book by David Ives and Paul Blake and is based upon the Paramount Pictures film written for the screen by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama, and Melvin Frank.

This brand new production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas is produced by Atlanta's Theater of the Stars. The creative team includes direction by Norb Joerder, choreography by Randy Skinner, scenic design by Anna Louizos, scenic supervision and adaptation by Kenneth Foy, lighting design by Ken Billington, and sound design by Peter Fitzgerald and Erich Bechtel. The tour is produced by agreement with R&H Theatricals, an Imagem Company.
