Naked Girls Reading Fairytale Edition Set for DC Arts Center Tonight, 11/16

Have you ever dreamt of having a bevy of beautiful ladies read you to sleep… Naked? Well you could have just that at the next Naked Girls Reading, Fairytale edition. Naked Girls Reading is a performance of Burlesque ladies who love to read stories of whimsical delight, fairy dust, and evil Queens. These beauties will bring their sexy and magical skills to the DC Arts Center tonight, November 16, 2012 at 7:30pm.

The brain child of Miss Exotic World Queen, Michelle L'amour, Naked Girls Reading is a sensation across the United States from coast to coast and internationally. "Appropriately racy" according to Entertainment Weekly, "The best thing to happen to books since they were put on tape." says Carson Daly of Last Call with Carson Daly and “if reading is in crisis, Naked Girls Reading is the solution” according to the Affaritaliani in Italy.

DC’s second performance will bring together the provocative Naked Girls Cherokee Rose, Gigi Holliday, Roma Mafia and Cherie Sweetbottom. The show is organized by Cherokee Rose, who recently received the award for Most Classic Performer at the 2012 Boston Burlesque Expo.

Naked Girls Reading Fairytales will take place tonight, November 16th, 2012. Doors at 7pm PM. Showtime at 7:30 PM. The DC Art Center is located at 7438 18th St NW Washington, DC. Tickets are $20-$25 and can be purchased at http://ngrdc.bpt.me.

Cherokee Rose, The Bewitching Beauty, is a former member of the Burlesque Hall of Fame’s 2011 Best Troupe, the Chicago Starlets. Cherokee has been a professional Burlesque Performer for the past 5 years performing from coast to coast and winner of The Boston Burlesque Expo’s 2012 Most Classic Performer. Cherokee was a guest Naked Girl in Chicago, Naked Girl Reading’s flagship city, which fueled her passion to bring naked reading to DC. She can be seen performing all over the DC Metro Area but most often at a variety of Red Palace shows and at the Red Palace’s Wonder Brunch. Cherokee is the producer of Naked Girls Reading’s DC branch.

Gigi Holliday, The Chocolate that Melts Your Heart, is a former member of Sticky Buns Burlesque and current member of Gilded Lilly Burlesque. Gigi studied the art of burlesque in Trixie Little’s Burlesque boot camp graduating in 2010 and can be seen gracing the stages of the Red Palace, Creative Alliance, Wind-up Space and two Burlesque Brunches, La Boum and The Red Palace’s Wonder Brunch. If that wasn’t enough Gigi is also the producer of the popular revue Gigi’s Ladies’ Night Out at the Red Palace.

Roma Mafia, Baltimore's Fiercest Femme, is a graduate of Trixie Little’s 2010 burlesque boot camp and former member of the ever popular Sticky Buns Burlesque. Roma currently performs as a solo act and can be seen at the Red Palace, Creative Alliance, Wind-up Space, and La Boum’s Burlesque Brunch. Roma is also the Producer of Best of Burlesque(er), the quarterly series dedicated to queer burlesque at the Wind-up Space.

Cherie Sweetbottom, The Sweetest Bottom Around, is a founder and co-producer of the nerdy Burlesque production team the Evil League of Ecdysiasts, which brought the Joss Whedon tribute show Whedonism to DC, and soon to Baltimore. Cherie has performed with a number of popular burlesque shows in the area, including Tilted Torch, Burlesque & Belly Laughs, the Red Palace’s Wonder Brunch, the Richmond Burlesque Revue, and NYC's EPIC WIN Burlesque. She can frequently be found at the Red Palace.
