Thornton Wilder's Novels Available For The First Time In Audiobook

The Wilder Family and HarperCollins Publishers are pleased to announce the digital audio release of Thornton Wilder's The Bridge of San Luis Rey, The Cabala, Heaven's My Destination, The Ides of March, and The Woman of Andros by legendary audio imprint Caedmon. The latter four titles are available on audiobook for the first time in history. Caedmon will publish Thornton Wilder's The Eighth Day and Theophilus North in digital audiobooks later this year.

The Public Theater has announced the Public Forum and Public Shakespeare Initiative fall line-up that will explore the intersection of art, ideas, and action. Highlights of the upcoming season include the return of the monthly Civic Salon gatherings and Election Night Hootenanny, a closer look at Shakespeare's famous tyrants and the Mobile Unit's A Midsummer Night's Dream, our post-show Speaker Series following performances of Eve's Song and Wild Goose Dreams, and a collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center on the intersection of Shakespeare and the work of Duke Ellington.

Award Winning Majestic Rep Announces 2018-19 Season

Majestic Repertory Theatre's artistic director Troy Heard announced the company's 2018-19 season today. Featuring seven productions in the MainStage lineup and two productions in the Backstage series, the season includes the world premiere of Amber Ruffin's ("Late Night with Seth Meyers") musical Bigfoot; the regional premiere of Rachel Bykowski's high school football drama Tight End; a full-scale immersive adaptation of Shakespeare's dark comedy Measure for Measure set in 1970s Las Vegas; the Las Vegas premiere of Lucas Hnath's mind (and tongue) twisting A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay about the Death of Walt Disney; intimate new stagings of the classic musical Cabaret, the adolescent angst rock musical Spring Awakening and Thornton WIlder's Our Town; the Vegas premiere of Matthew Lopez's Elvis-meets-drag queens comedy The Legend of Georgia McBride; and the world premiere of Heard's "Tales from the Crypt" tinged holiday thriller Krampus.
Two River Theater presents THE BRIDGE OF SAN LUIS REY

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, continues its 2017/18 season with the world premiere of The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder, adapted for the stage by and starring David Greenspan, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll. Performances will begin in Two River's Marion Huber Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, on Saturday, February 17 and continue through Sunday, March 18. The opening night performance is Friday, February 23 at 7pm. Tickets are available from 732.345.1400 or tworivertheater.org. The lead production sponsor is Brookdale Community College.
