Today’s subject Stephen Oremus has been living his theatre life for many years now as a music director/pianist/orchestrator/arranger/musical supervisor. His career is something many of us dream of having but very few of us actually achieve. His current project brings him full circle. Stephen is the Musical Supervisor/Arranger/Orchestrator for Kennedy Center’s Broadway Center Stage production of tick, tick..BOOM! which is running through February 4th in the Eisenhower Theater. Stephen was the show’s original Orchestrator/Arranger/Musical Director in 2001. His work can be heard on the original cast recording.

This April, The Royal Opera and Jette Parker Artists present Arminio, a modern-day reimagining of Handel's tense chamber opera. Continuing The Royal Opera's exploration of Handel's works written for Covent Garden, this will be the first UK staging of Arminio since its premiere on this site in 1737. Opening in the Linbury Theatre on Thursday 20 April, general booking opens on Wednesday 25 January, with tickets from £10.

This new staging of Benjamin Britten's unsparing chamber opera opens at Snape Maltings, Suffolk as part of its Britten Weekend on 29 and 30 October, before this new production is on stage at the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House from 13-22 November.
