Newbury's The Watermill Theatre has announced the full cast of their upcoming musical; a brand-new production of THE LORD OF THE RINGS, a musical tale based on the classic trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien, with book and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus and music by A.R. Rahman (Bombay Dreams, Slumdog Millionaire), Värttinä and Tony Award winner and Grammy nominated Christopher Nightingale (Matilda the Musical).

LOSERVILLE is an original musical, written by ex-Busted singer/songwriter James Bourne and writer/composer Elliot Davis, was commissioned and produced by Youth Music Theatre UK at the Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell in 2009. It was subsequently optioned by Kevin Wallace for professional production and premiered at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds in June 2012. LOSERVILLE, a new British musical by Elliot Davis and James Bourne, will receive its London premiere at the Garrick Theatre (a Nimax Theatre), opening on 17 October 2012, following previews from 1 October. This follows a successful run at the West Yorkshire Playhouse this summer.

Shaiman and Wittman lent their talents for a surprise Q&A with the students of Broadway Artists Alliance. Following the Q&A, they led a Song Interpretation master class.

The popular musical review series, 'BROADWAY BLOCKBUSTERS,' is coming back home! This is the first time since January 2004 that the show will make an appearance at Town Hall in Flushing, NY. This year's show, '100 Years of Broadway,' will feature some of the most talented individuals in the New York Metropolitan area, as they perform some of the most beloved music of the Great White Way, on this historic stage.
